Optical Elastohydrodynamic Lubrication Test Rig
Optical elastohydrodynamic lubrication test rig is a typical device for studying lubricating films of non-conformal contacts. Relative movements of its ball-on-disc contact may include pure rolling, pure sliding, spinning and reciprocating. This device can be used to study the lubrication behaviours of oils、greases, aqueous solutions and the biological lubricants. With the newly developed Dichromatic Interference Intensity Modulation Approach (DIIM), film thickness range of several nanometers to 5 micrometers can be achieved with 1 nm resolution.
