Feng GUO got his Ph.D. from the City University of Hong Kong in Nov. 2003. He is currently a full-time Taishan Scholar Chair Professor in mechanical engineering of the school of mechanical and automotive engineering (MAE) at Qingdao University of Technology. He now also serves as head of the MAE. His main work is concentrated on fundamental research and education in tribology. He has published more than 100 papers in peer-reviewed international journals. He owns invention patents in the lubrication measurement and new lubrication technology. As a principal investigator, he has undertaken research projects funded by NSFC (Natural Science Foundation of China), the Ministry of Education of China, Qingdao Municipal Science and Technology Commission, and some industrial partners. He has won the 2nd Prize of the Natural Science Award of the Ministry of Education, the 1st Prize of the Natural Science Award of Qingdao City, the SAGE Best paper Award of IMechE, J. Engg. Tribol. . He has successfully supervised nearly 20 research students, and they have won different academic awards due to excellent performance in Ph.D./Master degree studies.
