Laboratory Group Participating in the “Eastern Tribology Academic Forum of China of 2021” and Handing over the Conference Flag

The Eastern Tribology Academic Forum of China of 2021 was held in Shenzhen University from May 8th to 10th. Our group, including 5 professors and 2 PhD students, attended this forum and communicated with tribology colleagues.

Xinming Li, an associated professor from our group, gave an invited presentation and took the chair of a branch session. Zhaogang Jing and Tao Yu, who are two PhD students in our group, gave oral presentations respectively. Their reports presented the latest research results of our group. For example, Prof. Xinming Li introduced the mechanisms of lubricant replenishment based on the testing technologies by homemade ball-on-disc, ball-on-ring and thrust ball bearings facilities. Zhaogang Jing showed the influence of DLC coating on the lubrication performance of step slider bearings. Tao Yu introduced an enhanced water lubrication scheme by a small quantity secondary assistant lubricant under severe working conditions.

At the end of the conference, a handover ceremony was held. On behalf of the tribology research teams in Shandong Province, Prof. Feng Guo took over the flag of the “Eastern Tribology Academic Forum of China” and Qingdao University of Technology was honored to be the organizer of “Eastern Tribology Academic Forum of China in 2022”. At that time, Qingdao University of Technology, as the host, will unite the research teams in Shandong Province and work together to complete the holding of the “Eastern Tribology Academic Forum of China of 2022” with high quality. As Prof. Feng Guo said in the flag handover ceremony: “the Eastern Tribology Academic Forum of China of 2021 was successful, united, and victorious! We hope that Qingdao University of Technology will also bring you a successful, united, and victorious tribology grand meeting in 2022!
