The laboratory group visited Weichai Future Technology Research Institute

On May 15, 2021, Professor Guo Feng, Associate Professor Li Xinming, Associate Professor Li Shuyi, and postgraduates Zhang Xiaoxiao, Huang Jisong and Gao Yuanjie went to Weichai to investigate the Weichai project and had an in-depth exchange with engineers of Future Technology Research Institute. Dr. Sun Nannan, Dean of the Institute, warmly welcomed our arrival.

As the first class of "Lubrication Theory and Design", Dr. Li Xinming explained the basic knowledge of fluid mechanics and the derivation of Reynolds equation to engineers from Weichai.

A detailed discussion was made on the open subject of "Study on Lubrication Behavior of Cam-roller Pairs" in the State Key Laboratory of Internal Combustion Engine Reliability, involving the scheme of the current experimental system, the encountered difficulties and the next work plan. The research institute valued highly to this project, both sides have reached an agreement on the future development of the project and the project is developing in a good direction.

The laboratory group also visited the Weichai Science and Technology Exhibition Hall, where we had an in-depth understanding about the struggle history of Weichai from establishment, start-up, restructure and transformation to the high-end and high-quality development, and we benefited a lot.

Next, the laboratory will continue to promote the "industry-university-research cooperation", and really solve problems for enterprises, Meanwhile, our group will help enterprises to innovate independently and constantly improve the core competitiveness on the basis of improving our own, so as to achieve the deep cooperation and win-win development between the university and enterprises.
